Speedmaster Mark II

Just looking for some thoughts, opinions, and photos of your experience with the speedy MK II modern re-release. Been on my radar but a little concerned with thickness of case.

Thanks guys!

Love the racing dial on these and how it changes shades based on the light. The lumed tachy is also a great feature. I was set on this watch and almost pulled the trigger but went with something else instead. When I tried it on at the Omega boutique, it felt very top heavy and while I could see wearing it, I’m not sure if it’s something I wanted long term or not. If you can find a good one preowned, I’d go that route since you’d likely take a loss if you buy new and decide to sell eventually.

It's not common to come by a watch you're able to call original these days. That's a badass original watch.

Got one of these on order from my AD as I feverishly try to increase my spend to get the elusive SS Rolex. Gotta say though I do love this watch so it's a no brainer for me.

Had a original in Nam, paid 295.00 for it back in 1970. Saw a new one yesterday in the case while picking up my Seamaster from service. Sure looked nice!

To add, they did such a good job with this reedition. The grey dial/orange accents version looks super cool.
