Memorial day weekend solo Harley ride

So, I find myself solo again this holiday weekend. My wife is over seas leading a study abroad program in France and not by accident was in Normandy today. This is a weekend to remember those who paid the ultimate price fighting for our freedom and way of life. I'm on a ride through middle America and up the Mississippi, lacrosse tonight. Beautiful weather, never forget our fallen and what they have done for all of us.

I've been a Honda guy for quite some time (current ride is a pair of Honda VTX 1800's)...HD guys give me a ribbing, but at the end of the day its 2 wheels and good fun.

Have a safe trip!!! Please be especially careful, When I worked full time at the PD, I always hated working the road on holiday weekends, lots of traffic, lots of crashes. You have me motivated to take a spin on the Heritage, Ultra is on the chopping block, trying to keep the miles off her.

Enjoy your ride. Some times it is nice to get out and ride a few days by yourself to reflect on things. I do that once a year. Most my rides, my wife is with me on her own Road glide. Friday we head west from TN to ride AZ and Southern UT for two weeks.
