Pepsi vs Batman (Matte vs Gloss)

So I couldn't help but capture this image the other day. Yes the Batman blue is a truer blue but i noticed that the Pepsi bezel seems more matte and less shiny than the Batman bezel (tried my best to capture it in the photos but doesn't quite come thru in the same way). Anyone else feel the same way?

The blue is not the same so it would be different to the eye.

I’ve owned both and actually I recall the Batman bezel being very shiny. Much less than my Pepsi. So I’d agree.

Ummm, they are both really shiny and would never in any way use the term matte to describe that. Sorry, that term would be reserved for the previous models after the sheen has worn off.

I admit, I'm not seeing it. There are big, obvious reflections on both bezels.

Notice the blue on the Pepsi looks more like a purple color in different light setting.

To my eyes I can clearly see a difference in the shade of blue but I'm not seeing a matte and gloss. They both look pretty glossy to me.

Put them both outside in direct sunlight, (no shade- no angle- no photo editing- just sun) and you'll see it. Most people won't do it because of what you will truly see. The beautiful Pink/Cranberry and Purple/Blue blended colors of the BLRO come out. The deep Blue of the BLNR shines.

I own both and the Batman has the typical black ceramic “Rado-like” reflectivity but the Pepsi does not.

Mine both look glossy to me.

It's just the light, reflection, and angle of the bezel

There is no matte vs. glossy bezel on modern GMTs (at least for the BLNR and BLRO). They are all the same.

I do not think OP meant "matte" like a matte dial, but that the pepsi looks a bit less "blingy" than a BLNR under certain lighting. I have seen both models, but do admit the BLNR looks very shiny/blingy under lighting. Not a bad thing, but funny that I never noticed until now.

I own the BLNR. I recently held a stainless blro in my hand at a gray dealer and found the colors of the blro bezel to be somewhat washed out looking compared to the BLNR.

That's essentially what I meant, I guess it came across differently. To me it does seem that the batman is shinier/flashier than the Pepsi - which initially seemed counter-intuitive considering the Pepsi is a more colorful watch with a bracelet that a lot of people consider blingier.

I actually quite like the color of the Pepsi. I would ideally like to put it on an oyster bracelet with PCLs and call it a day. They're all beautiful watches - I was commenting purely on the Batman looking shinier/flashier compared to the Pepsi.

I would put it more down to the blue and black being pure unmixed hues so maybe crisper, sharper.

The ceramic bezels look matte when they need a clean.

They both look glossy to me. I prefer the Blue in the BLNR compared to the purple/cranberry.
