Hey now wait a minute, this thread has become completely misleading. The Ferrari wasn't part of the options provided initially just kidding sick car and congrats

BTW you can always build out the garage to make it fit the car

Seth! You magnificent ba%$#rd!!!!
That is the right choice brother. Italian perfection.
I like everything you did there..and the best part about your approach is similar to the best advice I ever got starting my business.
Never count to 9. You go to 10.
That my man...is a 10.
Congrats - and try to keep it out of grocery store parking lots.

Ha. My favorite post. Maybe ever. Thank you.

And thanks to everyone else for the comments. It’s a lot of fun to be able to share. This is clearly a big moment for me. And a long time, or maybe a lifetime, coming.

A few of the questions:

I am keeping the 911. I love the car. It’s incredible fun. I mean, incredible. And I love having a manual beast to tool around in.

It does fit in the garage. But I’ve already got an architect working on a solution to expand the garage to fit two cars. For now, the 911 will stay out for the summer. I expect I’ll be driving it more anyway. And I’ve done my research. It’s going to be fully paint and targa top protected.

The garage might need a variance. If so, I’ll likely just put the 458 in storage for the winter as I’ll be driving the 911 year round. The Range Rover though will remain my daily. And I’ll be buying it out after my lease.

The sad part is that I moved some watches that I truly loved. In fact, some of my all time favorites. But weighing the options, and value proposition of each, I had to make some tough decisions.

I have no regrets. Nothing gives me the thrill of a car. And I’ve got some incredible watches still in the collection.

RG YM
Silver Snoopy
SMP Black
AP 15400 Silver Dial
DJ41 smooth bezel, blue dial, jubilee bracelet. (This is actually still new and might not stay. But it might).

This collection is surely way more than one person could ever need. And I do feel moving a few was the most responsible thing to do. I put down a very large downpayment and I didn’t touch one penny of my own personal loot. I have near to 50% equity in the car and very reasonable monthly payments. I expect I’ll have this paid off within the next 12 months. As I’ve stated before, I truly hate debt. For this though, and to keep my money earning, I’ll make an exception.

I think this covers nearly everything. I pick up the car on Saturday.

It’s going to be one hell of a summer.

Thanks again everyone.

Nice one !! I like the lack of procrastination. You made the decision quicker than some do on what clothes to wear. Drive safe.

Ha. Yes, to address this as someone else also mentioned it.

I move fast. Always have. I imagine I’ll slow down as times goes on. I’ve already slown down to some degree.

I’ve always been very impulsive. I like it this way. It’s fun. I make a decision and I make it happen. No time like the present, and time is short.

Whoa! As the song goes "0 to a hundred real quick, real f*ckin' quick..."

Nice car, man. I wish you many trouble-free miles. I also hope you don't have to recreate the scene from the original Fast & Furious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg5aNzA19VQ

Well Seth I've read a lot of your car threads and posts over the past years so this is no surprise. Inevitable. Looks like a sweet ride. Enjoy it but kept safe, watch the speed.

Wow! Very nice car, very nice. I'm a car and motorcycle nut. Recently sold my 80 corvette that I had 31 years and built 3 times, was a street legal 10.8 second car. Still have my 2018 Carbon 65 Corvette, Less then 105 build with a manual. Daily is also a range rover.

You new ride is out of my league at the moment. I sure love it.

I might be more excited than you are. I hate to pull a Paul, but is my room ready? I really need a ride in the Porsche and the Ferrari.

Huge congrats to you!

Thank you.

And yeah, this went pretty easy. I went to check out the portofino.

But realized I did not like it very much. I prefer the California. But I wanted more of a race car than a cruiser. The 911 is great comfortable cruiser before I put it ino sport mode. and yes, i am looking for something that turns heads more.

anyway, i went with my wife as her buy in makes things easier. they had a white 458 and we decided it was the perfect car except for the color.

so i am sitting there saying, okay, if you get it in red, silver or black, call me. i will likely take it. that moment, a guy comes in dropping off his this car to pick up his new speciale. no joke. that minute. it was meant to be.

I just so happened to know the guy as well. i had met him at a cars and coffee last summer.

so i put down a deposit to ensure they did not sell it while i did my due diligence. everything came back the way i would have hoped. and its a done deal.

can't wait until saturday. this is going to be a fun weekend.

I have never been to New Jersey, but if I make it up there I am calling you.

I do not know much about Ferrari outside of they look badass and sound amazing. I would love some specs on the car. Year, mileage, etc.

I also assume we can expect more picture this weekend? Maybe some interior shots?

NJ is a great place. Please come and visit.

I will get you guys a list of upgrades, but it has quite a lot.

2013. 5,060 miles.

Crazy nice diamond stitched interior. Sport exhaust, upgraded steering wheel. tons of carbon fiber etc.

the only thing it is missing is the rear view camera. i think i will miss that and it was almost a deal breaker until i remembered that we just got those 10 years ago. or so.
