Love slurping up those noodles and broth.
Marrickville has some really good Vietnamese eateries...used to be many Greek ones when I was a boy, but that has changed now.

Not feasible to try and spell out the intonation. “Fuh” is still far closer to correct than “foe”.

It looks grim to me!
A bit of pink meat in some scummy water with fat floating on top - which is called broth (instantly turning me off.) I would try it though - It may be nice. |

...do explain! I've always pronounced it "fuh," versus "foe," the obviously wrong way. As for the drink the broth question that was posed, I'll slurp down as much as I can. I agree that it is just a medium for the rest of the soup stuff (noodles, veggies, meats). I do like my pho spicy.

Depending upon your neck of the woods, you might pronounce it differently.

I was commenting on the discussion of why that restaurant spelled Pho phonetically for non Vietnamese speakers. Apparently English speakers was who that owner was catering to.
It’s interesting that dialects even affects words in languages other than English. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
