I like it - the showdown, light dancing on the wall in the b.g. really makes this shot!

Here's a few shots I took over the course of the week. Everyday I bring my camera with me, hope to get at least one every day, or every second day.

I am very pleased with the technology and I plan to work with the camera more as I have not taken any pictures with it since we returned from Safari.

Awesome shots and trip. Safari is on my bucket list. I have a friend that does guided hunts in Africa. Different, I know, but still a cool trip.

Here are some shots of New Zealand taken with a Nikon D-70 using a 28-300 macro-zoom lens:

Well I took some pics underwater for the first time. Most turned out very under or overexposed but here are a few ok ones. Wish I could have gotten closer to the turtle. As you can see by the last pic the auto setting on the camera works well on the surface! Wish it was like that underwater!

Great underwater photos. Digital technology has revolutionized underwater photography. One had to spend untold thousands to get shots of this quality.

Thanks!
I am not sure on these pics, either an Olympus c-5060 or Nikon D300. These were taken off Catalina as well.

Lots of great stuff in this thread and I'm enjoying seeing everyone's work. A couple of mine from earlier today. Both taken with the Canon 1D Mark IV and 500mm v1 with a 1.4x. Keep them coming.

#2...which mall? I don't recognize it (I live in Bangkok)

Here's a pic for fun. I'm just an amateur photog and used to take pics of "pretties" (Thai term for models, but much greater in scope) all the time before I got married. :)

Ok, so I used to do a little commercial photography, back when you used to have to develop film, make contact sheets, and burn your own prints. Digital photography made making a living at it very difficult. The last few years I've done mostly personal travel photos, some portrait work for friends and family, and some real estate photography for the high end residential markets. Mix in some sports shots and that's pretty much all of it.

I'll blow up this thread with some of my personal favorites. I don't post portrait work without the permission of the subject, so the only portraits here are of my own family. My wife is good sport, and often lets me practice my portrait skills with her as the subject. Photos were almost all done with a Pentax ISTD, and a Sigma 15-30MM & 28-105MM, or a Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 28-300MM.

My favorite city, London

For you golfers, St. Andrews Scotland

Doolin, Ireland

Grande Place, Brussels

The Duomo, Milan

Dover, UK

Hearst Castle, California

The marina, Monte Carlo

Brussels

Fontvieille & The Royal Palace, Monaco

Milan

High Desert, Western Idaho

Guell Park, Barcelona

Yosemite National Park, California

Ventimiglia, Italy

Leeds Castle, Kent UK

Part two, with a couple portraits and sport shots.

Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

Kinsale, Ireland

Temple Bar, Dublin

Mannheim, Germany

South Bend, Indiana

Brighton Beach, UK

Big Ben at night

The London Eye

My wife in Punta Cana, Outer Banks North Carolina, Huntington Beach State Park, and Cape Cod.

My daughter at the Planation Horse Trials

My son (#15) at the Penn Relays High School Mile Invitational.

Son and daughter on the Burren, County Clare Ireland

A couple parrots for good measure. Because everybody likes parrots.

* Now that I think about it, there is a possibility that my daughter took the Penn Relay shot.
