The Bruce Wlliis

Called an AD today looking for stock and pricing on a YM Rhodium.
Sad part is no stock, and no discount.
Apparently it's a very hard watch to get. " I can get you a blue one anytime, but the rhodium not so much"
On another note, he mentioned that they call it the " Bruce Willis".
He came into the shop and liked it and bought 3. One for himself, his assistant, and the director. Still took Bruce Willis 3 months to get them.

I guess I don't have as much clout as Bruce Willis.

Do you think it will catch on?

Been to several ADs in the past month or so and I've heard it called the "Bruce Willis" twice.

Bruce came to Canada to buy a YM? Sounds fictitious to me.

Additionally these are in most Rolex duty free shops that Bruce would frequent anyways.

Maybe Bruce wants to pay Canadian tax for no reason?

It's better than any other of the absurd nicknames but only because I happen to be a fan of Bruce Willis movies. In any event, I sincerely hope it doesn't catch on.

The real question is, does Bruce Willis care about a few hundred bucks in sales tax in the least? No.

My point is they are easy to get anywhere and are seldom out of stock at all duty free airport boutiques.

And it is a lot more than a few hundred bucks. It is more like 13% on each watch.

Personally I could get 3 shipped to me in a second anywhere in the world but hey, whatever floats his boat.

Cool story. Personally I'm not a fan of any nickname for any watch. Ok, that's a lie. Steve McQueen or Paul Newman don't fall into that category for me for some reason. But all the comic book character names etc aren't my favourite.

I'm not a fan, so the nickname doesn't work for me.
