Got my Seiko Presage Starlight (SARY085)
Received a package from Japan today and I knew it would be my SARY085 from Seiya. Unboxed and had it on my wrist pronto. Made sure to leave the office a little earlier too, so that I could catch the last rays of sun. Man, that textured blue dial really comes to life under some good light...

Looks well, especially for how little coinage it commanded.
Really do think Seiko needs a range that sits in the defunct Ananta segment – $1700-2800 – with 8Ls or chronometer spec’d and decorated 6Rs. Still perplexes me as to why the Grand Seikos have never seen a lacquer or enamel dial, unlike the Presage. |

Gorgeous!! Definitely have been thinking about picking one up as well but can’t decide between this or the power reserve version.

Thanks for the kind words, gents! For anyone still looking for this, I still see one site that still has this for a snip under $410. I bought mine off Seiya for $390 shipped. While I do wish it had 6R15, I am still ok for the 4R35.
@Emmanuel, when I first saw the SARY085 and 087, I couldn't decide which one I wanted more. Had to try on both to know, so I actually ordered both LOL! My 087 is in transit and I'll be sure to share some pics when it arrives as well. |

I am truly astounded... so easy to dress up or dress down.
Yes, the 087 has a taller profile, but then that extra "depth" in the dial is also very, very nice. I mean, just look at the shadow the subdial casts! |

love love the sary085 - the clean and unique dial is just too lovely. sary087 looks good also but the font on the subdial doesn't do it for me imo. fingers cross that my sary085 order goes through properly! they are a pain to hunt down now!!

Great watch Sir! You got me looking at Seiko’s website tonight. Lots of very cool things here! I see a new Cocktail time with a power reserve and a new crown. The SARB0065 crown has always bugged me to set. Trying to resist another incoming!
