My April 2019 purchase says "Hi". I much prefer the darker colors of the later bezels.

A pretty objective way to compare Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3
Quote:
Here’s an objective way to look at colour differences. It might be an interesting exercise to compare Bezel colours to a Pantone colour book. Most graphic designers and ad agencies have them laying around - essentially they are a flip-booklet of every colour and shade. You flip through the book and hold the colour swatch against the Bezel and you’ll get about as an objective match as you can and a corresponding Pantone number. Ideally, you’d compare say a Pepsi Mk 1 against and Mk 2 or Mk 3. Or compare the Pantone shade of blue on the BLNR to the Pantone shade of blue on the BLRO. Some love the colours on earlier GMTs with aluminium Bezel. Be interesting to compare aluminium to the new ceramic bezels. It’s really the best way to objectively prove the difference in colours. The colour flip-books fade over time, so a new book is better than an old one for accuracy. You wouldn’t buy one just for this as the books are about $US180. Somebody out there may have access to one. This is the link: https://www.pantone.com/products/graphics/formula-guide |

Here's a photo of my mk1 and mk2 side by side...definitely different but having worn the mk2 as a daily I think I actually prefer the more vibrant mk1...Its pointless keeping both so the unworn mk1 has to go soon...probably regret it later

I have the newer colors. Prefer the pastel ones though. Still not complaining.

let's be real... the MK1 going to shoot up in price bc of how rare it is, so that's the one to get if you're getting gray or used.

Had a chance to compare mk1 vs mk3 in the flesh. There is very much a huge difference in the color of the bezels.
Not sure which one I like more, But I know which one is going to be much more rare in the future! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you had posted this a year ago, members would be coming out of the woodwork with pitch forks, diagrams, technical talk, and accusations of light angles, photoshop, and trickery- and calling you a liar. Oh yeah, and moderators would’ve locked the thread. There is a difference, and it’s these differences that make collecting fun and interesting. |

The problem with all this MK1,2 and 3 talk is that now we’ve seen recent incoming of models sold in 2020 with the “Pastel colours” of the MK1 ... so what are the new ones called? MK1 or MK4?
