Unexpected incoming! My first GS!

I was killing time while waiting for a table and walked in Ben Bridge to see what’s new. WG Blue Dial Daytona was pretty awesome. Did the usual, chat about this and that. Basel. No inventory. Same discussion that my SA probably has with just about every customer.
I always make it a habit to check out other brands. On the way out I walked past the GS showcase and the Sbge245 with the mahogany dial totally caught my eye. I tried it on and I was very impressed. I’m not a WIS but I have a decent collection made up of a few brands. I don’t know anything about GS but I feel like this watch can go toe to toe with anything in my collection. At least from a finish point of view. And I like how smooth the movement of the second hand is.
I was able to manage a little bit of a discount and needless to say I took it home! My first GS!!

Very nice watch. Congrats.

I also have some bad (or good) news for you. You absolutely are a WIS!

Stunning watch. Try it on the orange strap. Extremely comfortable. It has become one that I grab often!

That’s a stunner, congratulations!

I never realized that the rehaut was engraved with the numbers, very neat.

I love that bezel...wonder if Rolex would ever do something like that, making their GMTs look similar to the 6542...Dream watch!

What a stunner. I didn't realize the bezel had lume on it. Love it! Well done!
