Very nice! From a distance, this looks a bit like the PN dial

Sure does...the contrasting sub-dials are gorgeous on yours, the PN and the Panda dials.

Love the Daytona...unfortunately I had to sacrifice my SS black dial in the deal to get the YG...I think you had a similar dilemma?

Yes, I did and have not looked back (it's only been a little over 3 weeks though). I thought full gold might be a bit much but I'm loving every minute of it. I've already picked up a few small scratches but it seems to hide them better than the SS so far. It's definitely better at finger prints and smudges, you can get it as grubby as you want and it still looks great!

I still wonder if I should have gone for the gold SubC but then I look down at that dial and all hesitation is forgotten!

Those are some good tips. I think you made the right choice...I feel your pain though...it's always difficult to make those decisions. The gold sub C does wear big/heavy and my wrists aren't that big...I don't know if you felt that way also. The Daytona wears the most comfortably for me.

I know we can debate endlessly with our fellow TRF'ers on true tool watches in precious metals, and what should/should not qualify as such. But, I think the Daytona sings to me in gold as the Sub does in SS.

Exactly what I though! In person, the SubC just didn't suit gold as much as the Daytona did. The Sub is still a great watch, but the Daytona and gold are a perfect match.
