Dodgy Panerai Pam120 in the sales section?

Just saw this up for sale https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=558971

Now I own a 40mm luminor and I can tell you the crown guard is nothing like this looks like a crown guard from a 44mm screwed on

Or I could be wrong. Any expert opinion ?

The wording on the dial is different to yours also.

'L Swiss L' as opposed to 'L Swiss Made L' on yours.

Must admit the crown guard doesn't look right on this compared to yours so it could just be a replacement.

However, regarding the gaps up against the case, Panerai themselves are guilty of this on some models in the new Luminor Due range.

Take a look at the pic below, cropped from the official website.

Shocking!

I don't think that crown guard is legit at all. 40mm or 44mm. Look how small the pin is in it and it isn't flush with the surface like real ones are.

Something is not right at all, I have a pic of D series 2001 and the crown guard is so different

My own 40mm Panerai 244 has the "L Swiss made L" marking on the face and it is a 2009.
Also in looking at both the top and bottom of my crown guard the pin is larger on top with a very small hole on the bottom out of sight. This would indicate that it should have a tapered pin that only goes in one way. Might want to find some other pictures of the same model online and compare.

To me it looks like a destro crownguard so it's the backside of it you see at the front. Maybe that is the reason it's fits so bad?

Something I'm seeing is that the strap doesn't seem to be held in place with spring bars but with screw in types. Is that normal on any Luminor?

Yes, only certain of the most recent Panerais (the Due line, the snapback Luminors) use spring bars....all the other Luminors use screws or the quick change buttons.

Watching this with interest as I have the same E series reference on a bracelet.
The crown guard is obviously wrong , the dial however looks exactly the same as mine.
