Also, I have a slight concern about two tone. I’d hate to not love the watch. I have a feeling I’d get used to the two tone though.

To be completely honest, I love the Daytona. I love the feel and wearability, it’s very comfortable. I don’t like big watches.

I suppose this could have all been one post...

Does anyone have experience with not being in love with two tone prior to purchasing one? Also, I’m a casual guy, when not at work I wear jeans, camo cargo shorts (lol I know but camo just fits the best for some reason, I should really make a pair of khaki cargo that fit the same as camo) or my new attire since it’s 90 degrees outside and 10,000% humidity is a pair of casual gym shorts I purchased at REI. They’re wonderful.
I feel like this watch with black dial can / could go with most any outfit.

On a different topic is a link about Paul Thorpe

One of his videos is about best investment watches for 2019.

His top 5 are all Daytonas. I don't get it....maybe I just don't like Daytonas but I just don't understand their appeal.

The white dial is a beauty; there are many different dials. Not all are as beautiful!!!!

TT skydwellers are selling less than SS also. Seems that TT is not in demand.

Or SS is in such high demand the price has been pushed up to as high or higher than TT... SS are even only a few thousand shy of full PM! Same situation with the Daytona.

I’m talking about purchasing at an AD.

I like them and once owned this watch.

After I bought my 116519, I sold it to a friend that had admired it. He's know thinking of swapping it for a Day-Date so I might have it back at some point...

Can you comment about how casual or formal the watch is? Where do you think it fits in to your collection?

I found it be pretty versatile, but on the dressy side. I had no problem wearing it with shorts and flip-flops (typical Florida garb), but that just me.

I notice that TT Daytonas look better on women.

Yes I think they are great value for money considering the price of the S/S Daytona’s. I am lucky to possess the T/T Daytona with the White MOP 8 Diamonds Dial, which I picked up in May of last year. Here are a couple of photos of it

Two-tone is very classy, I love the white and black ones.

New panda dial installed during recent RSC service, seriously contemplating focusing my collection on TT Daytonas only.
