Incoming - Picked up my 1st Omega - Black Snoopy
Hi All,
This is my first venture into Omega and very happy with my first purchase. A dealer buddy of mine picked up several watches and he knew i was looking for a Snoopy. Called me up and said he had one in full complete set and in superb condition and gave me an awesome price which i could not refuse. Did not hesitate and immediately purchased it. Looking at the watch closely, i have to say it is very well made and for a watch that is 16 years old, it looks like new, just normal scratches on the clasp from desk surfing. The watch is unpolished and looks like it had been in the safe for the longest time. I was told, it has not been serviced before. Wonder if i need to get it serviced with Omega? But for now, it appears to be keeping good time. Only concern is if it is still water resistant and up to how many meters? The watch looks very utilitarian and can be one of those daily wears for swimming, gym, to the beach, walking the dogs, etc. Very happy with the purchase and probably going to change the bracelet to a cordura with deployment later on. For now, just enjoying this sleeper hit. Cheers. |

Huge congrats!
I LOVE that. It is one of my favorite watches of all time, any brand. I passed at the opportunity for one years and years ago when I was young and naive. My biggest regret. Enjoy yours and please post pictures often!!! |

Congrats! 16 years in a safe? Reminds me of cars left in garages for decades. Off the top of my head, service periods are around every 10 years.

Thanks everyone. Very happy with the watch. Think it might be due for some servicing as I notice the PR is approximately 34-36hrs. Not sure if this is normal? What is the normal PR for these watches? That saying the timing runs fine.

New Shoes for Snoopy
New shoes for my Snoopy...swopped out my bracelet to the cordura nylon strap in blue with deployment buckle to spice it up a bit. Very comfortable and light after the swop. This was in regular length and I had to use the last hole, maybe should have gotten the short length instead. Oh well, it works so don't think I will do the change. Very happy with it.
