Rolex grey market prices stabilized and starting to climb, time to buy!

According to me:

due to the fact that China is reopening, demand for rolex sport models is coming back. time to buy if you really need one!

Don't you remember the PEAK OF Rolex price it at 2021 When CHINA Totally, Completely CLOSE?

When they reopen, they need money to do business not buying watch, they buying many Sprort Luxury watch back then IN Pandemic because they NEED Hedge and Defend Asset that can retain value during hard time (which is Rolex, Patek, AP...) ==> The Pandemic really made the Rolex price UP

and now China open up, they will SELL ALOT OF ROLEX Again, the Price will come down more and more quickly, let just see !!!

Not sure why demand would increase when China now has the opportunity to spend their money on many more options than they did until very recently...

Zero logic being applied here, surely the country opening up would mean more people spending on travel, socialising and eating out?

Besides, I am sure grey market dealers in China were selling watches over the internet while things were locked down, I think there will be less people at home, bored and browsing for watches.

Last year, it was due to go up in August initially because “China is opening up”, then it didn’t happen. Then, it was again due to go up and reach the moon in December because it’s Xmas and New Years. Now it’s going to go up and it’s “time to buy again” because China’s reopening!

Wow! How many times will the same crap be repeated until one day it becomes true?
When that happens, grey dealers will have a fun time telling everybody - “See I told you so!” , conveniently ignoring all the previous predictions when they were wrong.

logic not important my friend, it's more like a global sentimental recovery in the demand of rolexes.

No crystal ball here but I think the global sentiment re: recovery is very poor right now and for foreseeable future

I don't really care about China opening or not... My personal feeling is that some people around me are a bit sick of those games with Rolex, although they might be true fan of the brand. They want back a true luxury purchase experience... You know what I mean? When you appreciate a good smile and welcome from a SA, when you're offered a glass of "something", even a fresh beer, when you can try something on your wrist... And finally you achieve it! I think Zenith and other brands might be a sweet spot this year.

for all those luxury brands like PP, AP, Hermes, Ferrari and porsche, either you follow their rules or you dont buy any of them. the luxury experience you were talking about has long gone.

My friend you always have the choice to wake up or stay asleep. I do get their new rules, and trust me I do like Porsche (own one) and Rolex (own enough), that's fine. But those so called rules doesn't reflect what is going on in the world this year, and whether it's time or not to pull the trigger right know before any illusional increasing.
Grey sellers are very careful on what they buy and don't want anymore inventory to stay more than one week, I talk with a couple in Europe. China has nothing to do with that.
Your enthusiasm is what it is, but lots of people start being done with those games and may finally turn to other brands.
By the way, think about those who bough at the peak, no real watch market long term experience or education, thinking about good investment and all those BS. Don't you think they might be a "bit" disappointed right now? Total disillusion.
At last, about luxury experience, allow me to correct you, it has long gone only in brands you mention above. Luxury experience is still there in many boutiques, even some Rolex ADs . You should definitely reconsider where you buy stuffs

It is possible people from China is buying some watches as the Chinese New Year approaches. A temporary bump I guess. Grey dealers are raising prices at the slightest movement in the market.. so beware that the asking prices you saw are very inflated.

IMHO, demand will start coming back when the overall economy improves and when the crypto millionaires start making money again

Rambo hate to break it to you brother…you are severely misinformed or uneducated on the demand drivers of the secondary watch market and current outlook.

You should put your money where your mouth is and scoop all the pieces you want now! LOL

Still early days to talk about price stabilisation. I see room for more correction due to economic outlook. Prices will come back up eventually but not in the short term, I don't think. As for China, I don't know if they'll be buying more than selling Rolex watches this year but I suspect it will be the latter. Until we start seeing strong economic data, I don't see a reason to support a price recovery.

How's the market looking at Jack Road and Kame Kichi, Sensei? Better hop over there before those tourists arrive.

When China fully closed actually that's when the market tanked it's initial 20-30%.

With the apparent/reported quality of the knockoffs they can pump out (be they counterfeit/replica/clone/tribute/whatever), that might be where the market is.

Maybe you should start your own watch market newsletter, then
So, you did not answer my question: are you buying or just telling others to?
