I would do this in a second. No doubt about it.

SS Daytona was a HUGE letdown for me.

Did you buy the ceramic Daytona at retail? Not a bad trade to be honest and this is coming from a Daytona owner. 116618LB is a beauty!

Did you get the Daytona at retail? If so, that would very tempting. Two totally different looks but that YG is pretty amazing.

No brainer. I’d do that trade.

Yes got it at retail

When the new sub comes out in a couple months, I may want to kick my own ass though

I wouldn’t do that trade. I feel like the Daytona is a lot more versatile.

But a SS sub to fix the itch!

Yes you paid less for it and are technically doubling your money...

But! Daytonas are expensive if not bought at retail, so you already made the money as soon as you bought the watch.

I’d probably do that trade in your shoes. Better IMO if it was a Smurf.

In my shoes, I love the Daytona more than subs, so I’d stick with another Daytona.

Do it. Economy is going down with this virus, and with it, luxury stainless steel watch prices. Get out high while you can.

Ceramic daytona white or yellow gold sub

NoNoNoNONONO.......you’ve been drinking and not thinking clearly...

Take that Daytona 500 and make it a down payment for a 506 - skip YG (it’s really just a gateway metal) and go straight to the hard stuff.

How does the 500 wear on you? the sub wears bigger. That aside, I would also do the trade.

My gold sub is my favourite rolex in my collection. I would go for it, 3000 is a good deal.
Even if a new gold sub is released this year I don't see it as a bad thing. If Im to be guessing, It will likely be unavailable until Q3, it will be more expensive (higher RSP and very little discount).

It would be a bit more money to slide into a 506, but yeah, I would do the trade all day long. A PM Sub is a lifetime icon vs a stainless Daytona. As far as I’m concerned the Daytona or any Rolex only begins to shine as either a two tone or full PM watch. I’m happy you got the Daytona at retail also...Do it!

You are asking us if a stainless white dial black bezel chronograph looks better than a solid gold blue dial blue bezel chronometer on you, how could we know?

Try them on side by side and decide

Normally I wouldn't advocate letting go of a Daytona purchased at retail...but in this case, I say full speed ahead. Go for it!

Hmm...I'm gonna have to disagree. Having both in the collection, the sub is by far more likely to stay the long haul than the daytona. It's an icon for a reason.

Hey-to each his own, though.

Without a doubt do it. The SS Daytona is way overvalued in the current market

The gold Sub is on a whole different level than a steel Daytona.
Besides I am biased, I own one.

I would not. Never sell SS Rolex sport models. Save and buy the gold when you feel comfortable

DO IT.

SS Ceramic isn't going to stay that high forever.

Especially if you got it at Retail from an AD, DOIT.
