I just received this Datejust from my dad, who purchased it from a jewelry store in Midland, Texas during the 1986 oil bust. After some research, I've not been able to find a stainless steel jubilee bracelet on a two-tone case, or vice-versa, so I am wondering if this is a Frankenstein watch or just a very rare.

The watch is in transit so these are the only pics I have at the moment, and until it arrives I won't have the serial number.

Any insight on IDing it is appreciated!

It's an old watch.

Likely somebody has replaced the original two tone bracelet with a cheaper all stainless steel bracelet. A new TT bracelet would cost more than the watch is worth.

That doesn't make it a "Frankenwatch", and it is not rare at all. Unless the entire watch was made from a box of random parts.

As Larry mentioned, bracelets are often replaced when they get old and loose. In fact, your father may have chosen this himself when he had the watch serviced at some point. IMO, this isn't generally considered a "franken". If you prefer a more original look, you can install a new or used TT jubilee. They aren't cheap, however. At first glance, the watch appears to be a ref 16013, which is consistent with the 1980s time-frame.

Also, it could be a stainless steel conversion to two-tone without the two-tone bracelet.

This period of time saw many stainless steel watches converted to two-tone.
