Hi all, I've just purchased a Portugueiser Chronograph with the in-house movement (calibre 69355) and on my first day of ownership, the watch ran 15 seconds fast. Does anyone know the performance specs of the movement? I can't seem to find this anywhere.

I realise that the watch is not chronometer certified, but I would have expected better performance than 15 sec.

Is it just a matter of letting it settle down over the time to something more acceptable, or should I take it back to the store for regulation?

Congratulations on a beautiful watch. I have owned several IWC's over the years and the timing has varied from almost spot on to 20 plus seconds out. My AD always says to give it a few weeks to settle down. I always make him put it on the watch machine and we see. When I am checking time at home I keep up with it by the day but also average it over a week or so. Take it to the AD and have him put it on the machine and see what the results are and what he recommends.

Agreed, give it a week or two, and if it is still far too fast have the AD's watchmaker re-regulate it. i have the Hodinkee $300 Timex accurate to +/-2 seconds a day, and that uses a basic Asian movement.
