Aqua Terra blue 8500 "Skyfall"
I haven't posted here in quite some time, but ran across this thread and thought I'd share some crappy iPhone photos of mine, from a couple days ago. It is true, photos do not show the true beauty of this one. For reference; this is the 41.5 model and my wrist runs 7.8-8.1 depending on how much beer & pizza I've had lately

Mine says hello too (apologies for the medium quality of the iphone pictures).
I must add the watch looks larger on the photos, in reality this 41.5 mm is a perfect fit on my 17 cm (7 inch) wrist. |

Every time i see this blue aqua terra i can't help but think of the yacht master in respect to how a great blue dial can completely transform a watch and its appeal.

I know he wasn't wearing any watch at all in that scene but I still couldn't resist a little homage. Both myself and the Long-Haired General were "enjoying death" when she took those rather blurry pics so we might try that shot again one day when she, at least, is sober.

The pictures do not do this watch justice. I truly beautiful watch. The blue dial is captivating in person. Not as thick as the PO. One to definitely add to the collection.

I agree, I thought the YM blue was stunning but I think I might even prefer this beauty now and the price is so much friendlier! Great pics, everyone!

Having both, I would say that the blues are both absolutely stunning but the overall "feel" of the watches is very different. The platinum white bezel and red second hand of the Yacht-Master make its blue dial really pop, whereas the AT8500's blue pops on its own with the teak concept dial with the faceted 18k white gold indices and hands in a supporting role. Both gorgeous watches!
