Icon7 Why do photo sizes need to be below 250KB?

And also... how do you make a state of art Smartphone (like a Note 10) take such small pics?

Have some stuff to post, but been an age making the files smaller, and still not there yet

Cannot understand why it takes a age to make files smaller with hundreds of free apps that will do it for you.And any picture 1000X1000 pixels or less is perfectly adequate for forum use, like the picture below of my Daytona.

Your reply is mostly unhelpful.

Cannot understand why just download any app that will resize pictures for you or upload to a free hosting site like Imgur. Then it will size picture for you then just copy forum IMG code and paste it on forum its not rocket science.

The reason photos needs to be resized is to reduce the forums storage of large images. And associated costs and effort.

There are “free” apps, but nothing is free.

I just convert with email which is a pia but it gets the job done... poorly.

I am not a fan of “free” apps.

Holy schnikes! Now that’s a Daytona worth coveting! Gorgeous panda! Not to get too far off topic and into the weeds, but is there an equally good backstory or provenance on this piece?

I second imgur. You can upload as many giant images as you want there. The nice thing about imgur is you can add an h to the end of a filename for a perfect reasonably sized forum image.

So if your giant image is at imgur.com/abc123.jpg, just put an image here pointed to imgur.com/abc123h.jpg
