Msgsooner: since I bought it from out of Japan, I didn’t really feel a burning desire to try to send it back there to have it corrected, or try to do so here in the States. I just chalked it up to having gotten one of the occasional “misses” and knew I took a chance buying that way, and moved on. If it had been a Grand Seiko I bought from a dealer or boutique here, I would have sent it in for warranty work.
