New Member sharing pics - Rolex Sub + Omega
Hello Everyone,
I'm a new member on this forum and this is my first post. I have owned a submariner for the past four years and have enjoyed every moment with it. Apart from being such a classic it was MY first Rolex and will always have a special place in my heart. The first Rolex I ever bought was for my wife - a TT rose gold lady datejust. I fell in love with watches many many years ago. My first love was the Omega Seamaster which was out of my reach. As time progressed I graduated (in my thoughts) to the Submariner but thought I would buy the Planet Ocean as I knew that I would never be able to afford a Submariner. I remember the countless times I entered the showroom, tried the watch and leave without buying one. Anyways fast forward a few years I was able to buy two rolexes, first for my wife and second for myself. After the Submariner my desire for the Planet Ocean died but the Speedmaster entered my wish list. I wanted one on the leather strap as I didn't like the bracelet on the speedy plus I already had the sub. But as life happens, I went to an Omega showroom at an airport and saw the original Speedmaster racing. Before the Speedmasters were considered for the the space mission they were racing watches. The diamond pattern on the dial and the rubber strap with the clasp did it for me. ASo instead of the moon watch I bought the Speedmaster. Now the only other two watches on my wish list are the 36 Datejust and a Gold Day Date. Since I have enjoyed looking at pics on this forum I wanted to share the ones I took yesterday. Hope you will enjoy them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Should post in the Omega forum as you seem to favour that more.

IMHO, that Speedy outshines the sub in looks by a mile. Never bought a rollie as always felt that Omegas, Zeniths and PAMs were far more interesting looking and had comparable quality for far better price.
