Trade-in DJII smooth for DJ41 fluted

AD is willing to give me $5K for my 2013 DJII w smooth bezel and oyster bracelet and will sell me a new DJ41 with fluted and jubilee for $8500, so net is $3500.

I believe this is a pretty good deal?

Not sure--have you asked a trusted seller their cost for a trade?

Curious to know why you want to trade for the DJ41--size, different bezel?

It's fair trusted sellers here sell used dj 2 smooth for 5k or so.

yep I'd do it. Either way, if I owned a DD2 I'd figure out a way to get a fluted bezel DJ41. Specifically the gray rhodium dial, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet.

I'd do it. I prefer the fluted bezel and jubilee on the Dj.

Unless your solid with the AD I'd call around to see if I could get a better deal.

Yes I'd trade a DJII for a DJ41. To me a Jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel are DJ perfection. Make it a blue dial to top it off 👌🏻👍🏻

Good deal. A fluted 41 is going to be about $1750 more than a new smooth 41. Your watch is used so fair to say worth $1.5k less than new. So that puts you at $3250. By trading in, you save $5k in sales tax. In Florida that is 7%, and I am guessing about the same in New Jersey, so that is $350. So total is $3,600, and your deal good by 100 bucks.

I assume you've tried on the DJ41?? It's wears considerably smaller than your DJII. Not knocking the new 41, but it is very different than your current watch in my opinion. Many on the forum are happy with the new proportions, I prefer the DJ2 proportions. Now that I've lobbied for the DJII, I will say your deal seems fair.

Yes have tried both. I don't have a large wrist so the 41 wearing smaller would actually be ok for me vs the II. I say smaller but didn't think it was considerably smaller?

Another AD just said $4200 for trade-in and no discount on new. So the extra $800 from the first AD and the discount of $1000 is an $1800 difference!

Sounds like the numbers are OK...the only thing I'd consider (unless you already have) is how nice the smooth bezel/jubilee combo looks. If that interests you.

The numbers are right, so if it's the DJ41 you want, you have our blessing

Best of luck
