Would love to see Rolexes that was passed down to you.

Would love to see Rolexes that was passed down to you.

Sadly, that wasn't a family tradition for me, but I will be the one to start one!

I agree and that is why I purchased the YM2 gold 116688 which means that its in my era and says I got it and was not passed on to me. My wife has the super diamond gold masterpiece 80298 which is discontinued now and was one of the top women's Rolex when I purchased it in 2004.

Singular = was
Plural = were

Just being helpful (not criticizing), as I realize English is not your first language.

AirKing handed down from my Dad. My wife wears it now and it will get passed down to my daughter when she is older.

Yes, however it's a Jubilee and not an Oyster. I asked my Dad about it, and he said that at the time of purchase they gave him the option between the two. This is something I understand was allowed back then. He wore this watch for years, and it saw many dives in the Texas Gulf of Mexico as well as the Guamas Mexico area-

No disrespect but has this been polished a lot?

And also. How's the gold bracelet? Do you fear it will fall off/apart soon?

The lug width looks OK imho but the satin brushed finish on the lugs is partly polished. This can easily happen when wearing loose by your shirt or coat.

my father did not baby this watch, was his daily wear, and that is what I love about it...

Probably, polished a few times, my father used to send it for service every 6 to 8 years...
It's very Stretched, need to send it to Michael Young... but I like the leather, so no rush!!!
