I'm not sure what you mean. I ordered a W. Jean strap a couple of days ago and I'm waiting for it to get here. Last month I also got an US waffle and it arrived within 3 or 4 days, which is super fast for Hawaii. I'd definitely contact them to find out why it's taking so long.

I apologize. What I wrote does sound confusing. I would also like to get a couple of extra straps for my SLA033. Uncle Seiko straps seem to be popular. I ordered a couple of different straps from them 3 weeks ago but they never came. I saw you ordered a W. Jean but I don’t know much about that brand and was interested to learn more. Ah ok I understand. Well, I have both Uncle Seiko and also received a W. Jean chocolate bar strap that came with my 6105. Of the 2, the W. Jean is a tiny bit thicker and the material feels a little more pliable to me so I like it better. The finish and detailing on the Uncle Seiko is a little nicer but you have to look real closely to see that. By that I mean you can see tool marks from the molding process on the W. Jean strap, but again, it's the thickness and suppleness that makes me prefer it over the US. Caveat: the W. Jean strap I have now is several years old. It remains to be seen if they changed at all during that time, but I'll soon find out!

Just picked up a SLA017 yesterday. I really like it. I also own the SLA037 and the blue is strong but I think i might like the grey better. Time will tell. I have a SPB143 and while similar when not with the SLA017, it is not. For the money the SPB143 is strong. I will see after some ownership.

I picked up the SPB149 recently and I’m fortunate that the SLA037 arrived today. Very stoked to enjoy the 037 and see how they compare in terms of relative value, both nice watches. |

The SLA017 * SLA025 * SLA033 club thread

Thanks, I will do that. My take to this point is that I like the 037, but of the three SLA models I’ve recently picked up, it’s ranked behind the 033 and 039 on my list of favorite Seikos. The SPB149 provides a lot of information enjoyment on the happiness-per-$ scale, but I plan to alternate the 149 and 037 a bit and compare them a bit. |

The SLA017 is still one of my favorite sports steels. Why did I sell it...?

Hey guys. I'm considering jumping on a lightly loved SLA017 and wondering what you guys think of it after all these years. Also, how does it wear on small wrists (I'd probably buy an Uncle Seiko tropical strap) - mine are 6"?
