One Grand Seiko, one Seiko
Here is my GS-Seiko combo. Both are my first from each brand, both are my first non-Swiss watches and both were acquired over the past year.
Anyone else want to play? |

Well I have quite a few of each (as I imagine you will, too, before long ) but I took these in to the Seiko Service Centre for a battery change and pressure test last week, so I have this combo pic from then.
The Golden Tuna is a 7C46-7008 from 1999, and the GS is an SBGT235 from 2017. Both are JDM models

How about a Seiko and a Grand Seiko (its movement, some finishing) at the same time?

Very nice GS-Seiko combos, gentlemen!

Love the 221! I’ve admired it for several years - it was the first GS that truly grabbed my attention. Makes for a classic duo with the turtle. Maybe start with a Seiko? Great way to get a first “toy”. Quote:

Both of these watches have since been sold (and replaced with 2 newer Astrons), but I liked the contrast between a 47mm Astron and a 37mm GS. |

I will play
Glad I seen this thread, was actually going to do a thread (and may still do so) on my Seiko collection and admiration for the brand.
The collective group left to right: 1. Seiko Lassale Quartz - most dear to me as purchased by my wife in the early 1990's as a gift when we had limited funds. I think it may have been almost $400 at Macy's. With all of it's functions it is a cool watch. 2. Grand Seiko - Summer from the Heritage Collection 36,000 bpm 3. Seiko Diashock - good all arounder 4. Seiko MM 300 - SBDX017 5. Seiko Gen 1 Monster |

Ah - I wish I could play. No Grand Seiko yet, but I have been eyeing a few different references. I do have a Turtle and a vintage Lord Marvel. Love them both.

I have this GS GMT HEQ, and a Spring Drive. No photo of the SG available. Guess they're both GS's sorry.

Old Faithful and the New
The beater is from the mid '90's and still keep perfect time. It is always worn in the shop and working on the cars. The new one speaks for it's self. Both will out last me.
