I don't think the NATO looks good here.

That being said, I'd like to put an ALS on a nato one day for a post-apocalyptic scavenger look.

I love leather on watches, so would definitely try it on the leather band. Not a fan on NATOS in general, don't think a DD would look good on it but that's for you to decide!

I prefer the leather if i had to chose between the two, but my strong preference would be a President bracelet.

The NATO is a definitely "no" for me. The leather looks pretty nice, but I always prefer the bracelet.

95% of the time I wear it on its bracelet. Had the clasp lying around so if worked out. Not going to spend the big bucks for something that’s going to sit in a box unused.

You just aren't being creative enough.

I personally like it, if only for the responses it gets from some Rolex fans.

Crocodile straps on a day date, an older day date squeak by. But a NATO on Rolexes flag ship reference? Total blasphemy. You might as well wear a tie dye strap and really set the thing a blaze.

Doesn't look great on that NATO, but it could be cool on leather NATO.

I mean it's a matter of personal taste and the will to do it. People are drooling over putting the SkyD on what equates to a very fancy RubberB despite it cheapening the overall look of the watch.

I wear my 1603 on a Nato from time to time, especially when I don't want to ruin the leather strap or bust the jubilee bracelet.

Put on the nato and your watch is safe in any big city . No one would believe that someone would put a nato on a real Rolex President .

You might want to do a little bit of research on the oyster flex strap. Comparing it to a $10 NATO or a rubber B is not very accurate. But do whatever you like with a day date. Some people die their hair green. Just saying.

I got some great laughs from some of the posts. I typically wear it with the bracelet, but away for a while to get the bracelet fixed. It’s a ‘79 watch and worn often. Thought I try some new options until I get the bracelet back. Watch feels odd without the bracelet, so might just have to set it aside for a while.

Classy watch and your thought is to dumb it down with a nato? Boggles me. Leather on a classy watch or a pres bracelet.
