Realize things I never did..

So i'm usually not in the habit of nit picking or ruining my mood over the odd scratch or dent on my watches. Upon the purchase of my 2 month old ROC RG chrono from the AP boutique, I failed to notice things that my more obsessive cousin, whose also a collector, pointed out recently.
At first I thought he's just being his obsessive self, until I realized he is right!

He pointed out that the chrono hand wasn't exactly dead center at 12.
Ok but in my experience over the year even with Rolex & other brands, sometimes chrono hands aren't dead center, no big deal!

He then pointed out that the screws should be 'deeper' to the point where you can easily see the screws are deeper than the surface of the bezel.. Now i'm thinking thats not that big of a deal either. Then he starts comparing it to his AP's and my other AP.

His theory was that there could have been some issue with the watch and it had to be opened up.. perhaps a potential client might have dented or scratched the bezel while trying it on, or maybe it fell.. Or maybe its just a two random coincidences.

But now a couple days later I find myself sitting & thinking about what possible scenarios could have caused this.. thinking what if for whatever reason my bezel has been opened up or polished? which is a sin in my book!
Whats your opinion on the matter my fellow TRF members?

Here are a few pics. Sorry I dont have any close ups. I'm traveling at the moment and dont have it with me.

The bezel screws look good to me, especially on the first picture where depth can be appreciated. As far as the seconds hand, I have one word for you- parallax

My advice is not to let your cousin look at your watches!

That is a beautiful watch. Enjoy!

I think the screws are a bit more flush on a RO than ROO.

Close up pic for you to compare against.

It’s truly a stunner ! So do enjoy wearing it.

The hands in the subdials look straight at 12 for me, especially in the 3rd pic. Here’s the screw depth on my ROC. I wouldn’t stress too much about it. Wear it and enjoy!

Thanks for all your comments and compliments guys! some of them were pretty funny
Even after comparing my bezel to the ones posted in this thread, mines seem to be a bit more 'flush' rather than 'deeper' in the bezel..oh well lifes short!
Hope your all having a good Saturday

I've seen brand new watches with the defects similar to what you're describing. Did not bother with Daytona. Brought the JLC for an evaluation by an AD and got the the issue fixed. It is really up to you, but I'd investigate if I were in your shoes. Asking an AD won't hurt.
