I get a lot of compliments on my 126715CHNR. Maybe it's bc of the bling factor. Never got compliments on my RM and Patek.

I walked in a Rolex store and got a compliment from the lady working there on my DJ41 blue fluted. Still she wouldn’t let me have a Daytona/BLRO :(

I don't think number of compliments is a good indicator for number of people who notice.

I was wearing my Gold GMT green dial and i was at the mall..this guy behind a watch counter i was walking by yelled out "i got straps for that Invicta your wearing!"

i said "uh No.....nevermind" remembering i was wearing a $34 grand watch at the mall

The only Rolex ive been complimented on various times is the Daytona Ceramic white dial...

Just got my first unsolicited watch compliment of the year...
Not on either of my two Rolex’s. Not on either of my vintage Omeags. Not even on my Marathon or vintage Baume Mercier.
It was on this.

I actually think this anecdote speaks to where the average person is when it comes to watches. Unlike us WIS, most don’t recognize a Rolex / AP / PP etc... But an Apple Watch on a red leather strap catches their eye.

Would look better with black hardware on the connectors.

No kidding. But overall, for $15 on amazon, surprisingly high quality strap.

Yes, everyone complimenting my Pelagos seems to think it’s a Rolex. Makes for an awkward conversation at times when i have to tell them it’s not a Rolex. I’ve had one guy at ORD that stopped me to ask how i like my Tudor.

I never get compliments on my Rolexes, except when I go into a watch/jewelry store.

On a Rolex, i don’t think i ever have. Seiko skx009, all the time lol. Funny how these thing work. I’ll take it! I would rather the nicer stuff fly under the radar.

I did have my father in law tell me when i get in the position to afford a nice watch, buy a bullova. I was wearing a 1680 at the time i believe. I found that interesting, decided not to say anything .

On more than one occasion, when wearing polar Explorer II I have been complimented and asked as to the make.
