Rolex + Seiko = Seiko

I am a huge Rolex fan...

That being said I bought a Seiko SKX007(K) recently and cannot stop wearing it. This watch gives me a lot for what I paid. I liked it so much I bought my GF one and ordered her a Belhamel fitted strap.

No comments needed, just decided to voice this because all I ever hear on the Rolex forum is how obsessed people are with their Submariners...

I know what you mean. I have a Submariner and Sea Dweller 43 but on my wrist most of the time is a $300 turtle diver. I just enjoy this Seiko.

I wear my Seikos (Grand Seiko included) as much, if not more than my Rolex, Omega, or Tudor.

My SKX and my SRP777 get way more wrist time than my Rolex.

I have a number of watches from Rolex, Tudor, Panerai, Hamilton, Tag Heuer, Seiko and Grand Seiko. A majority of the wrist time goes to my Seiko's and Grand Seiko's. Don't know why but I do enjoy them.

I feel exactly the same way. There was a time it was Rolex or nothing. I can't tell you how much I love this GS and SEIKO journey. They're fine watches and they're fun. The GS watches are masterpieces and hugely underrated. IMHO, they're much nicer than any Rolex I've had or own today. I'm also finding a rekindled love affair with Omega. And I took a 10-year hiatus. Anyway, SEIKO is doing something very right and tapping into the WIS perfectly. They're checking off all the boxes and ticking the right emotions.

My wristtimes pretty evenly split
Which says volumes about the quality of seiko watches pushing above it weight

Rolex + Seiko = Seiko

Yes absolutely...my Seiko’s get 90% of my wrist time these days. My skx007, srp777 & srpa21 are whats on rotation. I also throw this one in every so often spb079...

Pound for pound Seiko takes on any brand including Rolex and kicks them out the park. I’ve got 5 Rolex and love them dearly....BUT Seiko wins the bout!

Agree with you! My SKX009J gets the majority of wrist time. The thing is a reliable tank and transfers from the ocean to a night out incredibly well. There is an enjoyment that comes with wearing a Rolex for sure but for the fun to dollars ratio - seiko cannot be beat.

For me Rolex + Seiko = Rolex. I own six Seiko watches, five vintage and one modern and I really love them all, but I almost always have one of my black Subs on my wrist. Guess I'm one of those obsessed you mentioned.
