Same happened to me but with the iPhoneX.
I bought one for me and one for my wife.
She didn't want it at the time.
My buddy really wanted one, so I sold it to him at cost.
He turned around and sold it for profit...

can't catch a break! Not his fault for passing, it just goes to show you how many people are only into "the hot" rolex models so they can make a quick buck. Thats half the reason why they are so hot to begin with

Who really knows what you are really giving up, if anything. Who's on the list and who gets the watches is always a question of debate.

I didn't say it was :)

I think the insanity is EASY to fix.

If people stop buying them at these prices, the prices will go down.

but i bet you if they get back to $16k, people will buy again instead of waiting some more.

if we all could be just disciplined enough for prices to go back to normal, it wouldn't even be of interest to the greys to sell them, if there is not enough profit and the "next" on the list would skip, if not keeping the watch.

it could be so easy....

the whole situation really makes me wanna puke.

A ton of the ones I see are up for sale a day or two after the date on the card. Of course they all try to act like they didn't buy it to flip. Still significantly more blacks than white ones.

Thank goodness for that. Although utter madness to turn down a white dial Daytona.

Right!!
Well, my AD's owner said I could get back on the line if I wanted to and get next anytime I wanted

He knew I could have flipped and have more towards the white 5711 I'm after.

That goes to show that they can manipulate the 'list' based on relationships, and that others may bump you. Kinda BS. I am also affected on the PP side, as I can't buy at MSRP.

Glad to hear the ad values your relationship and it wasn't yours that for flipped! Phew. Thought the world started spinning the other way for a sec

Bummer! Beautiful Watch...

Sadly this is true. I did speak to my AD and sadly he’s already sold it.

He gave an early surprise to a lucky fella. Who has been waiting almost as long as I have

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know what I did and it was the best I could do.

Thanks all,

So within a day of deciding you didn't want the next Daytona and inform your AD, one shows up and goes to the next person in line? That timing seems a bit convenient.

Super cool for you to do it. But, unfortunately, the next person may not be thinking the same thing. Why didn’t you pick it up again? That is an amazing piece. Why let that opportunity go?
