Here's my contribution. I was looking for an 1803 in the best possible condition (ie. sharp fluted bezel, minimal bracelet stretch, etc.) and box/papers would be a huge plus:

Is the 1803 the best DD reference Rolex ever created?

Wow! Fullset! I was happy that mine was all original and came with the inner and outer box. Congratulations! Wear it in good health for years to come. That's almost a grail find as these fullsets are becoming more rare with each passing day.

How do 1803 owners deal with lughole gaps that are common with this reference?

If you happen to still have it, I’d love to line up for it.

God, I love this dial. When I was in the market I had to choose between a gold diamond dial or the Grey slate. I really wanted a diamond dial and that's what I bought. I have no regrets but man I love the slate dial so much.

Finally get to join the 1803 club with the wide boy and grey dial beauty. Circa 1969. Thank you Santa!

Sorry for the noob question, but how much would one of these cost in good condition on a leather strap? A more common dial, not some super rare one. Also, what does a factory Rolex buckle look like for the older day-dates in strap look like? Thanks and beautiful watches everyone!

A little controversial, but now on a nato with gold hardware. Just need a no-cyclops crystal. Do you recommend OEM or aftermarket?
