Great to see the troops looking so fit. Thanks for the contributions, everyone.
Here's a few straps I've added lately although they aren't made of nylon.

The best part is how easy it is to completely change the look of your fine Swiss timepiece.
I'm still deciding between these three blue beauties.

Thanks, Buz.
Found it on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/20mm-Mil-G10-Lig...#ht_500wt_1154 .
It has a suede finish, pretty thick leather, and very comfortable.

My NATO experiments

I ordered myself a black NATO strap about two months ago. The envelope came in about a week. Had no idea how to wear it so went online to figure it out. I loved the look of it ... but the darn thing had a strap keeper lose.

So I figure, this is nylon, will melt with the heat ... and so I heat a knife up and delicately touch it to the strap (not too delicate and the knife was red hot) and it cut right through

I waited until last week before ordering myself another couple - a ZULU and a NATO this time around. The ZULU came in first. Too thick to fit with the Rolex standard spring bars but luckily the seller (the Watch Prince) has included slimmer spring bars so I swapped them and it fit just right. I did once again experiment with scissors ... trimmed the length and heat sealed the same (used a hot air gun this time :-) ). The watch is here:

I then ordered a NATO from Super Chrono and that pic is here.

The watch is a new Rolex sub non date.

I'm now going to buy a strap from a company I found on Google ... the Bond strap to start and then one in red and black!
