Rolex Submariner Query

Hi

I have recently acquired a purported Rolex Submariner watch as a result of inheritance.

I have rather limited knowledge of timepieces and can’t determine whether it is a genuine item or not.

A superficial search online indicates that in most cases this particular model should have a visible rubber gasket, between the crown and the case, but isn’t evident on this particular watch.

There appears to be what I presume is a holographic quality control sticker (off centre) on the rear of the case with the number 16233 displayed.

I’ve attached some images of the watch for further clarification (just the rear of the watch - file sizes of front face images were too large to upload).

Many thanks for any information.

Thanks

Thanks to all the above posters for your input.

I’d highly suspected is was a replica; thanks for confirming this.

All the best.
