Omega Speedmaster Pro MKIII (recent pics).

1971 vintage.

IMO, this one is pretty photogenic.

That's the condition it came in. Bought it from an Aussie seller several years back. I swapped the original bracelet for an Omega mesh though.

Here are some older pics. I'm not sure if I've posted them here before. Enjoy anyway.

Thanks for the pics. I had almost forgotten about this thread. The mesh bracelet was a good choice and goes perfectly with the watch. It's a beauty!

Simply one of the best classic watch that I've seen. Wear it in good health.

I have a similar watch.A 1969 MKII. Mine has the grey dial with orange/yellow accents. I took off the original band and replaced it with a black rubber divers band. Looks much better IMHO. Looks nice with the black bezel. The MKII and III are becoming quite collectable, or so I've heard.

Yes, the MKII, I remember that one. It has the same cal. 861 as the Speedmaster Pro (Moonwatch) of that era. There is also a gold plated (gold filled?) version.

I would rather stick with the original bracelet on the MKII.

Yes, you're correct about the 861. I have the same movement in my 1970-80 Speedy Pro. The pre-moon Speedies had the cal.321. I hear you about the braclet. When I bought it it had the original braclet with the previous owners name, and SSN# engraved on the clasp. A no, no in today's world. Plus it was too small for my wrist. I found a new in the wrapper correct braclet for it, and while waiting for it to arrive, I installed the divers strap. It was so comfy, and looked so nice, I have yet to install the new braclet. My MKII has the more rare grey dial with the red/orange accents. I
have yet to see another!!!
