OP41 Turquoise Dial Imperfection

Ordered this watch from grey dealer. I noticed the 4pm index has a fine line crack on the right side of the index. Has anyone seen this defect before? Is this a future spider dial?

I have never seen this before but I will say that I am not at all surprised -/ I’ve seen soooo many imperfections with Rolex that I just expect minor stuff at this point as part of watch collecting .. they can’t all be perfect, simple as that

Anyway, as for this here though, this is certainly bad enough to send in — they’ll handle a dial swap get you fixed right up

Curious man what did you pay? I heard they’ve gone up—/ I’m one of the lucky few to have the turquoise 41 from my AD .. super curious to hear what you paid .. awesome watch —- oh by the way all that silly hype from Tiffany blue anniversary Patek has alleged to make the “Tiffany lol” turquoise 41 price go up

It will be worth $50,000 one day...thats the rare "4 o'clock split" dial.

OP41 Turquoise Dial Imperfection

I wouldn’t return it I would have them replace dial or replace watch. You're just throwing away money(value) away.
Not saying OP is a "flipper" but it is worth way more than MSRP if bought from AD.

Give the dealer this
I'd expect at this level to be a bit of QC examination.

I wonder if it's an original Tiffany blue or if they swapped the dial somewhere along the life of it's grey market journey

It’s hard to spot if you’re not looking for it or with proper lighting. It could just be QC, not a problem for the grey to return it.

There are reports of fake versions of this dial around, such are their value.

Counterfeit OP turquoise blue dials are flooding in. Soon, there will be more fake dials than real ones.

I was thinking the same, also as the Tiffany blue are difficult to find, I wondering if it might be a non Rolex dial.

Or loupes and high magnification and the rest of todays Rolex toys can and often will be a new Rolex owners worst enemy.

I would see if the Grey Dealer has another and swap it. If not, then everything becomes about the price and what it can be replaced for, if you still want one. Good luck, I hope you get it sorted out.

The watch is under warranty at this point, so off to RSC, or let the seller sort it out

Uh....no.
It's a significant defect on an expensive watch.

I would feel uncomfortable buying this specific watch without the white tag, because it specifies which colored dial was installed in this model. obviously I don't want to pay such kind of money to buy a black dial OP which were swapped with a aftermarket turquoise dial.

Without the very high magnification in the real world its a very very tiny mark yes it should not be there but still a very tiny mark on a mass produced dial.

Doesn’t make it acceptable… OP get it in to RSC for a replacement dial or send it off to auction as a rare example for $6m
