Rumor Rolex will lower production in Q1 22

It is just a rumor I heard, that due to the resurgence of Covid in Switzerland with the fears of omicron, Rolex is taking measures to reduce production in the first few months of 22 and that is why they allocated/ delivered more watches in Nov and Dec in anticipation of some supply disruption.

Again take this info with grain of salt...

How does one hear a rumor like this? @majidessa ?

I could actually say that statement for any company/manufacturer/factory.

The sales associates who work at the AD in Amman, Jordan receive top secret information directly from the Rolex CEO.

This is so weird.
I remember the last two years people saying the same thing.
I keep hoping to see something new that people write about.

Maybe folks are selling and think spreading that rumor will make price spike

I think I've heard that for 8 years....

I have to agree… Rolex already said they are not sacrificing quality for quantity.

If the pandemic continues and there are more waves then sure… it’s possible.

I wish if it was a trick to boost sales but unfortunately Rolex cases are empty so I guess they are already doing well...

Its very possible. Not every country is acting as if its business as usual. I just read about Netherlands locking down again due to omicron.

Probably saw an ‘expert’ on YouTube talking about it, you know the one with the mole inside the Rolex factory that supplies him all the inside information…..

I'm pretty sure that my AD said the same thing last weekend when I picked up my Sub. They put one aside for me until February, I decided to get it now instead, and they said "it's a good thing you came in now because Rolex wah wah woh wah wah.". I stopped listening when the watch was in my hand but I believe the word production was said. lol

Davidsw told me cost to acquire is going up. You can see it on his site he is on the higher end of grays but it’s worth it to me. A lot of incomings right now so I wouldn’t doubt it if stuff dries up. Every other market is

It is what it is. The time to buy was yesterday as always. Unfortunately barring a huge economic downturn, demand will not go down and production will not go up. So more of the same with pricing going up up up.

Luckily I have all I need at the moment, if an AD calls with something that comes in for me, it will just be gravy.

I dropped off a present at my nearby AD and he had an Explorer there in the display case so there’s that.

But if you can believe it, he had a dozen Tudors. They aren’t slowing down methinks.

Of course, the pandemic or some consequential supply chain issue could curtail output.
