Vintage Pocket Watch?

Anyone know much about pocket watches? A friend sent me these pics, pretty sure he must have inherited this watch. He says it is a Golay, Phils, and Stahl in white gold and still runs. Any ideas of its age, brand heritage, and collectability? I know nothing about them, TIA.

I believe Golay, Phils, and Stahl is just a jewelry store.

Which could actually be good news. That looks a lot like some Patek Philippe watches I have seen. Which with a little research, was indeed sold and signed by G,P&S.

The watch looks like it is from the 1920's or early 30's.

If you open up the back of the case, the movement and the case will most likely be signed by the maker.

The pictures are not clear, so I cannot tell if that is a screw off or pop off back. I am guessing pop off since the initials engraved on the back are straight.

Wow, that sounds potentially very cool. I will ask him more about the story behind it and pass that on to him.
