Lagavulin have always been special for me as it is the whisky that deflected me from blended whisky's having it at a Burn's night dinner on one occasion as a toast to the haggis, I was quite surprised.
Since then it has always been single malts, my choice being what is on special offer at our local Waitrose store.
One that is never on special offer is Lagavulin 16.
At our Waitrose store it is over £75 ($85) which is out of my day to day drinking expenditure budget.
But, a couple of weeks ago MBH as a birthday present brought me a bottle.
Well, what a superb whisky, standing well above all the my current experience with single malts and I've had a few.

Just got a few bottles of pecan whiskey in from Batch in West Palm Beach. Super excited as the last few times I’ve had it was incredible. Especially for how cheap it is
