Hello
You can find 3 models of this tool. The original for € 120 A copy with same box for € 60 Another copy for € 40 (looks different) I have not seen any by myself. The seller of this box sent me two pictures and it says Bergeon, but as you know all fake Rolexes also call themselves Rolex. The seller does'nt know and i think it's true because he sells the box as a tool for watches, saying nothing about Rolex/Tudor. I'd like to know if it's the real thing. Sincerely |

Thanks.
I actually bought the box and it works. But the teeth (english ?) of the tool are far away not so nice as those from the watch. And it's not good for the case back. Why don't they make a tool out of hard plastic like LEGO's ?. It would be much better for the watches, cheaper and easier to make. With a torque of 5 N.m you don't need metal. Regards |

For your own sake don't by the fake one, it will ruin the notches on the caseback. I did this trying to open a (glued/corroded) caseback on a 1680 for inspection after a corrosion problem (plexi moisture)

Well, I still do not know if I bought the real tool or not.
With the eyes (old ones) I see nothing bad on the case back but with the microscope the impacts are clearly to be seen and could just be avoided with a softer tool. My kids had a thermo-material that you can mold very well at low temp and I'll try to make a tool with that, just to see if it shrinks or not when cooling. |

The tool should fit the case back perfectly. I have the same adaptors lying around somewhere and they are as good as the real Rolex ones. (I prefer them actually). I use them with the bergeon 5700z tool.
Anyway, if the grooves don't engage well, i'd say the tool is fake. |

I have the same Bergeon set and I believe it's the real deal - the sockets fit the case backs very snugly, practically zero wriggle room once the teeth/grooves slot in properly. ;-)
