I desperately wanted a Deep Blue and got offered the opportunity to buy one at my local AD in Windsor last week. I tried it on and whilst I was mesmerised by the dial, I felt the watch was just too big on my 7.5 inch wrist, so I declined the opportunity to buy it. I have regretted the decision ever since. They also had two BLNRs in the back, however they had already been snapped up. I can't decide between the BLNR or Explorer II Polar dial for my next watch.

Shame that as it's all about perceptions. I have a 7.5" wrist and think it fits me perfectly. When I put a 40mm on I then think it looks tiny on me.

The real answer is they both look fine but it's what your brain is telling you and what your eyes are using to seeing.

The Dblue is a fantastic watch.

I recently had a nightmare trying to acquire a 116610lv.

Called around 10 ADs none had had any for months or had 6 month waiting lists.

I realised i had somehow forgotten to try Robert Gatward in windsor. The lady advised the rolex man in thier store was busy and he would call me back. I heard nothing for a few hours so i called back again, he checked his paperwork as he was expecting a delivery the next morning. He was expecting two in the delivery one of which was for a regular and the other one was thier routinely alloction of stock. He said he was not in the next day so the delivery would not be proccessed but if i was at the store by 9;30am the following day he would save from being put out on display. Needless to say i was there before they opened.

I was super lucky as this store did not operate a waiting list system. Basically it was first come first serve unless you are a trusted previous customer

Not the hardest to get hold of but in case anyone is interested Mappin&Webb Manchester had both Explorer II black and white dial and a DSSD in the window earlier today.

I also have a 7.5 wrist and 40 feels small. When I wear a sub, it looks small to me. Explorer 42 looks right.

Guess it depends on how flat the wrist is.

Not seen any lately but they seem to be the ss sub variant that comes up for sale the most. Try Goldsmiths if they have one in the chain they will move it about for you.

I know it was about 12 months ago now but they got me one within 72 hrs and it was only shipped by Rolex a few day beforehand.

UK SS Sports Stock

I haven't visited his forum for a while but was minded to do a 'is it me?' Check today after visiting watches of Switzerland today to see the baselworld new models. They have the seadweller on display but won't sell it ?! There's a 60 person 10year waiting list and they only put their regulars on the list. Madness.

This is a very useful thread .

Try Goldsmiths Leeds. I declined on one yesterday as I got one from another AD earlier in the week.

Haven't got round to doing a hello post yet, but will do soon.

Just to clarify that's the new Seadweller 50th anniversary released at Basel.

If so I had no idea it was supposed to be that long a waiting list !!! I am shocked tbh

If you're still looking, drop me a PM. I have a 214270 on hold with deposit at a London AD, but no longer need the watch. Happy to transfer it to you if you buy out my deposit.

Hopefully another forum member gets what they want with the help of TRFers again. Think a few have been helped out with this thread. Keep it coming everyone.

Now...has anyone seen an SD43 seadweller in the windows of any AD recently

Please PM me before you post it on here though as I don't want to be killed in the stampede for the door when they open !!

TBH I am still shocked at 10yrs and 60 people waiting list. If my math is right they are expecting 6 per year.
Only time will tell if their 10 years and one every two months is right.
