Rolex 6694 Bracelet Dimensions

Howdy Y'all

Made my first Rolex purchase of a 6694 Oyster Date ~1962 the other day. It came with an after market leather band and buckle.

Purchased a Rolex leather band and buckle to complete the watch. But also want to have the correct bracelet to go with it too.

Looking at the 7205 which looks to be from the decade of manufacturing of the watch but am trying to find out the dimensions of the correct clasp? As it's a vintage bracelet looking at the usual market place "eBay" to find one. I know the end pieces need to be stamped 60 but I am concerned as to the clasp width because I have seen what looks to be a ladies version with a 13mm wide clasp.

Just looking for some advice and guidance as to what the mens 7205 bracelet clasp dimensions for a 6694 Oyster Date should be?

Thanks in advance!!! Any help appreciated

Been a while since I have looked at bracelets but I believe you need a 7205 with 57 endlinks IIRC. This is a men’s bracelet, no need to worry about getting a women’s. IIRC they’re 13mm at the endlinks where I believe the clasp blade is 14-16mm wide on the gents

Could also use a 7835 folded link with 357 endlinks, 78350 solid link as well can’t remember what endlinks. Obviously not period correct, but personally I’d prefer one of these over a rivet link

7205 clasps are quite narrow, hopefully someone will show up soon and measure theirs. I don't currently have one.

Thank you! Really appreciate the information. I'm one to try to keep a watch as original as possible. But will most definitely look into the 7835 and the 78350, I do prefer something wide versus thin.

Cheers, I hope someone does too. I really prefer a wide bracelet and maybe the 78350 or the 7835 clasp is wider... Thanks again!

Clasps can be 14mm on some of the older bracelets.

I personally prefer a 16mm clasp, irrespective of whether or not a bracelet is period correct. Give me a 78350 bracelet over some knackered folded link bracelet with a small clasp any day.

Oh, Christ. Don't buy it from Ebay. You're likely to end up with a fake.

You need a trusted specialist who knows what he's doing.

Cheers. I have friend of mine in Japan that's going to source one for me. He found his bracelet there and has a jeweler he uses.

Rolex 6694 Bracelet Dimensions

I believe the links that fit inside the clasp on a 7205 are 14mm.

I would be wary of this. If you buy a 7205 bracelet, they are a pain to adjust to a good standard, and it can leave a nasty taper. I think you'd be wasting your money personally.

A lot of “restored” bracelets are just authentic clasp blades and endlinks swapped to an aftermarket bracelet as well which is something you have to look out for.

I always managed to dent links on the ones I’ve had as well, they just weren’t good bracelets at all.

I have one on an old Tudor. The links are indeed a pain to add/remove, but the clasp has micro-adjustment pinholes so it's not a big issue if you have the right number of links for your wrist size. The links all have different widths, so you need the right ones for it to taper properly.

It's certainly a flimsy bracelet, but it has that nice vintage feeling. I'd say the pros outweigh the cons, especially if you're a stickler for correctness.

Tried to upload a photo, but the forum's silly size restrictions won't even allow an iPhone photo...

Here’s my original bracelet with some quick dimensions. Definitely "flimsy" but works well with the 34mm size and is a nice match for it. I enjoy it.

How would someone be able to tell these bracelets from the real ones? I know many of the aftermarket cheap ones can't be adjusted by removing links (bought one once before sourcing a genuine one).

The rivets are different. But there are some legit restorers who use different size rivets as well so I’m not too sure.

Thanks so very much for the photos of the measurements!!!! Really APPRECIATE IT!!!

Quick question:

I know on the Clasps the letter W refers to the Year 1995 as to when it was made and the number 4 means April of that year. But I can't seem to find what the number 62510 C on the clasp means? Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

62510 is the clasp code for a Rolex Jubilee bracelet. They generally have the suffix D (Dame) for the smaller version and H (Homme)for the larger size.

Woody Thanks!!!

Guessing I can switch the 65210 D for an H on a 78350 bracelet and add 557 end links to fit my 6694?
