80-85% is ideal. We find in this range it's almost certain we can get it restored to 95%+ without issue. Usually the links are in good condition. But at 85% the slack will start to cause uneven wear. With the 65% bands for example a realistic goal is around the 80-85% at best.

@RoLLiWORKS at what stretch mark/percentage would you recommend jubilee bracelet tightening?

I own a 80's TT 36mm DJ with 85% bracelet stretch.

7206 Rivet Oyster. So many pieces, so many rivets, sigh. Sorry no time to go crazy with photos, but it's worth showing how many pieces makes up the very desirable Rolex 7206 Oyster bracelet.

8 very small pieces per link and many have 12 links.

$300-$400 to fix what I think is the most unsightly problem on watches worth thousands of dollars? Sounds like a deal to me.

The bevel shouldnt change the thickness of the lugs. Its merely a bevel on the corner.

Very impressive, ROLLWORKS. How much do you charge? We have a GMT and a YM and a Milgauss.

Rolliworks just corrected and incorrectly "repaired" 93150 for me (just updated my thread on it). Turned out great!

When you tighten a bracelet, what exactly is the procedure?
I ask about a 20 year old oyster bracelet for a GMT?

Kind regards!

New pins and sleeves. Usually there is varying stretch link to link so we work with numerous sleeves with different outer diameters to make the adjustments. That's merely for the distance from link to link. Even with this full adjusted, doing the sideways test, the bracelet can still measure in the low 80% range, not acceptable.

To remedy this, nearly all, oyster bands we work on need laser welding to rocking and tilting that happens link to link. We have photos here:

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=618472

it's the old analogy, photo, 1000 words

We have them fabricated to our spec. Every now and then we run into some odd size we’ve never seen before. Rolex changed sizes quite a bit in the last 35+ years. A lot of the band we work on have rivet fasteners or are welded. Gold bands are gold soldered.

All work done in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

I need your help with 2 bracelets. Just need to call your office to ask some questions first.

Also, do you a scanned PDF of your scratch % guide?
