Which luxury watch to buy?

Its my first time buying a good watch, so for the last days I've been researching which watch to buy. The two I like the most are the Omega Speedmaster Professional and the Seiko Ananta Spring Drive Moon Phase.
Things I like in the Omega:
Omega is definately the better brand. Wearing an Omega is more prestigious /at least to the average person that doesn't know the Ananta price ;)/
Its space history - its the "moon watch"

Things I like in the Seiko:
The Spring Drive mechanism - the only one that shows the movement as it is - perpetual.
That it has 288 parts /which is considered a lot/
The Moon Phase complication.

Looks are maybe the most important but I like them equally. The Omega design is classic and neat and elegant but not less I like the Seiko which is also elegant and its design is inspired from japanese katana /which are another piece of art I am fan of/

I've paid little attention to price, from what I saw the omega is $3700 and seiko is $4700, but I want to buy the watch I will enjoy more regardless of the price, so please ignore this factor.

Given my arguments what advice will you give me?

PS: Sorry if my English is not very good, I am not native speaker.

Whoa, that Seiko has a 46mm case - make sure your wrist can handle such a hefty watch. It's a good looking watch for sure, and likely equally well built, but I'd go with the Speedmaster Pro.

In this case, I would have opt for the Omega Speedmaster if you love both of the designs equally.

The first reason is that it has such a good history as the "moon watch" in which no other brands could compete.
Besides, having more parts in a watch (in this situation is the thing you like about the Ananta) is not usually a good thing, at least it will be much much more difficult to service (cost rises as well) or the possibility of facing problems is higher.

And, I would favor for a more practical complication as my first watch instead for Moonphase, eg. 2nd Time Zone, Power Reserve Indicator, Day, Date, Week........

P/S: Your English is definitely good enough for us to understand and communicate.

Hope it helps.

Get the Speedy Pro. It's almost in a class by itself when it comes to history, performance, styling, etc. The Speedy must be in its' 7th or 8th decade, now, and not many watches get mentioned in the same sentence when it comes to toughness.

go to a Zenith dealer and ask for a catalog

if you like a few of their watches buy it

for the price you'll pay you can't get a better and more legenday
brand. compare the quality AND price with other brands and you'll see they cost almost half the price.
So you get a watch that competes with JLC and IWC and Rolex but you barely pay more than what you pay for an Omega

I has several watches, highend and serious high end. Started this hobby almost 20 years ago, don't want to sound arrogant but I do know what I'm talking about

Of the two watches you selected I would pick the Seiko. The Spring drive is amazing! To get an Omega withe a movement as impressive as the Spring Drive you need to move up to the Speedmaster with CoAxial movement. I love the Speedy but not compared to the Seiko.

Yep it's the Speed for sure. And if I could find a good one it would be vintage!
