Your thoughts on my "beater"

So I was getting kind of nervous wearing my 116610LV and 116520 in the gym and while doing 'scratch alert' activities around the house so I decided to give the Seiko Turtle SPR779 on Miltat jubilee bracelet a try... Just came in today... Do you guys think it's proportionate to my wrist? I'm a female, 5'2", 110lbs

It's pretty large, but it's a cool look. My wife is taller/larger than you and wears a 36mm Datejust. larger watches are in for women.

I’m a Seiko fan so I would say it’s a bit too nice as a beater per say, does look good though.

Must be something in the air...A dear friend of mine just bought the exact same watch to use as his "beater"...

Those turtles are hard as nails and it looks great on your wrist. A perfect beater. Nice choice going with the classic pepsi bezel. :)

Ah, Dan is right, this is a turtle, but you can use the 22mm MilTaT for it.

Hi J, watch came on Seiko black rubber strap, but the Miltat bracelet for the Turtle “line” is soooo well made and super comfortable, takes the watch to a whole new level!

Also here is my SKX, consider a Nato, those Seiko bracelets are less than ideal

Seiko divers are amazing, I love my SKX! I actually like the black rubber bracelet it came with best, but I do have an Oyster, a Jubilee, and several NATO's for it. I wear it when I anticipate really harsh conditions, otherwise, I don't worry too much about my 16710 Pepsi for yard work, home projects, etc. But if I'm sliding under the car, out comes the Seiko!

I just picked up the cheaper version SKX009 on jubilee bracelet. I've had a dozen or more Seiko divers over the years. They are an amazing value. Robust, reliable, and well finished. I had just heard of the Militat jubilee upgrade, might have to get one.
Big watches on women are bold, I love the look.

Funny, my SRP773J just showed up last night. I think it makes a great beater watch.

Looks just fine on you. However, I tried to daily my SKX007 a while back and it just didn't work out. It's a great entry-level automatic watch, but once you get used to wearing a Rolex, a Seiko can never replace that feeling. I especially couldn't get used to the fat and clunky 22mm bracelet they use and I've tried almost every bracelet for it. I have a feeling you will ditch it within a few days and come back to wearing your Rolex.
