Do you think this is a scam?

I received the following email message today. What raised my suspicions is I don't have an account with this bank.

Dear Customer,

We recently noticed one or more attempts to log in to your Lloyds TSB
account from a foreign IP address. If you recently accessed your account
while traveling, the unusual log inattempts may have been initiated by you.
We would like to ensure that your account was not accessed by an
unauthorized third party. Because protecting the security of your account is
our primary concern we ask you to change your password.

Failure to change your password will result in account suspension.

To change your password click on the following link, sign on,
and you will be automatically redirected to change your password:

I've sent a copy to LLoyds/TSB. I wonder if I'll get a reward?

That should have been the least thing to raise a red flag. No bank or credit card company ever sends out e-mails asking for your information. I get these phishers all the time, mostly regarding my e-bay account. I actually opened one recently, and it was scary how much information it wanted, including bank account numbers, credit card numbers, social security number, etc. In essence, if I had answered it, I would have no identity of my own left. I'm sure all my accounts would have been wiped clean and my credit cards maxed out in no time at all.

Scary $hit for the unsuspecting among us.

The word before "off" and the word before "you" are the same. Does that help?

I think you guys are trying to tell me something. Your details would be safe with me and my Nigerian bank manager.

Adrian,

Maybe you should send them any other account numbers and passwords you DO have, along with any personal identifying information -- just in case it will help them to protect you in the future.
