Which Rolex to take Kayaking?

I acquired my Daytona a month ago and I’m still loving it. Ever since I did I‘ve only worn the Hulk once. I don’t mind it though. It’s tough to take the Daytona off.

I’m heading to Vegas next weekend and then heading to a lake to kayak. I might be taking a little swim and I’m afraid the Daytona won’t be able to take it. What do you guys think? Should I keep the Daytona at home and take the Hulk?

Hmmm, both beautiful watches. Personally, I’d bring a G-Shock.

Lake Mead Water Temp should be about 75

Wear lots of sun screen and see if you can swim down to the airplane wreck

Yeah, like 30 meters down now. There’s a rope attached to a buoy and you can follow it down

EDIT: it’s a B-29, but the story was the pilot was flying low goofing around and took 3 engines off after hitting the water. They all survived. 1950 ?? 2001 I think they found it

I say wear the LV so that you can bond with it again. The Daytona will be there when you get back. Also, make sure to keep your mouth closed if you get in the water. You often hear of people getting parasites from lake water.

The answer is somewhat obvious, you can't answer this for yourself?

The Daytona will be fine. It’s waterproof deeper than the plane.

Neither. Send them both to me for safekeeping. I will take good care of them while you are kayaking.

If the Hulk is newer, I would wear it just to get some wrist time. I would not be concerned about the Daytona though, it would handle the water just fine. If I can wear a Ulysse Nardin GMT while sea kayaking in Portugal a few weeks ago with no issue, a Daytona can handle it.

Just do not wear a vintage VC.

Ah great! That was a big concern of mine. I rarely see pictures of a Daytona in the water or at least of people swimming. It’s always a sub or a sea dweller.

That sounds like a great idea, thought I haven’t been to Vegas with my Daytona yet. We’ll be visiting the Colorado River at Nelson’s landing instead!
