Speedy Moonphase Revisited

So since I had a day to kill I took 150 mile round trip drive to the nearest Omega dealer to actually see this piece on my wrist as others have said it definitely wears smaller than 44.25MM and I got to see the black on a bracelet and the Blue on leather. Both are quite stunning in the flesh I might have went for the blue on a bracelet but I have this tremendous bias towards black watches anyway after trying it on and seeing it in the flesh I pulled the trigger on a black/bracelet should have it by Friday! Traded my SMP I just like the Tudor HBB too much to let it go.

Congratulations! It is an awesome watch and feels great on the wrist. I'm looking forward to seeing more wrist pics upon its arrival!

Here's one of mine on the strap to share:

A lot of people who talk about the new coaxial speedmasters 44mm being too large etc IMO have never worn it and just scoffing at the measurements. Omega is quite good at controlling lug contour and length so these larger dials don't wear large. IMO something Rolex should look careful at moving forward....we'll see starting with the new sea dweller. Congrats on a fine watch, it looks amazing.

I'm one of those. I'll have to try one on in person to see how big it really is.

Love the blue.

I also tried the 40MM Hesalite moon watch it wore like a 36MM DJ. It looked tiny on my 7 3/4 inch wrist glad I didn't go for that.

Yes I did! At first I felt guilty, like I was cheating on my AD. However, Greg was/is awesome to work with on a purchase. Add to that the savings...I don't feel so guilty anymore! Besides, I have already ordered the white dial Speedmaster Racing from my AD, so he'll endure.

Excellent selection on both watch and seller!!

Really like this model. Prefer the black on bracelet as well.
Congrats

My bad a typo

I think what gives the speedy the illusion of looking smaller on the wrist is the thin bezel but then again its probably all in my head lol.

I've seen you on the forum for years. Just never picked up your name for some reason. I'm a big Hunter Thompson fan, so I've always loved your avatar.

Thanks Kevin! I actually had a very nice collection of HST autographed stuff, sadly, had to sell it due to some financial hardship brought upon by starting a new business... still regret it.
