I like watching the RV shows on TV, the ones where people are deciding which one to buy. I'm not an RV guy but I am attracted to the lifestyle for some reason.

Fantastic rig there Mon, looks like all the bells and whistles on that modern puppy. I'll have a dig around later and see if I can find some pics of my inlaws class A 2007 38'. Borrowed it last year and took a trip down to South Dakota to see Mt Rushmore. Older, but a nice unit, with all the comforts.
Nowadays these things are mobile luxury apartments. Everything from outdoor entertainment centers, including surround sound, to electric everything, auto sat finding etc. Can be a great time, especially if you can tour in a group setting where many know the sites off the beaten path. I personally love road trips. Something about a new place when you feel like it, the open road, and the time to relax without the stress of a day to day grind appeals. Far better than buying a double wide, in a fixed location, that you are bound by, like many 'snow birds'! I'm a little young for that class, but it is relative..... Only downside to a big motorhome, is the limits of grade and road access that is accessible with a 35' plus vehicle. Good luck on winning over the wife. If she isn't willing, I'd be happy to join the road trip for a month or two!

I went with fiberglass poles, but it also had an aluminum pole option if you're expecting snow or high wind loads. |

I love RVs but don't love owning them. Renting a nice one for a week or two is an ideal way to enjoy the lifestyle without a long term commitment.
