Incoming from Spain, with a stop in LA

Thanks to Philippe Capurro at ExoticWatches, and then Edvi and the boys at LA Watchworks, it’s finally home after a crystal-swap, and some light case cleaning-up.
Something about a domed, plexi crystal and a fading-to-blue insert is just so intoxicating

The date almost disappears without a cyclops, but the dome gives it a certain charm! Sweet case and patina.

Icon5 T19 or T39

Hi,
A beautiful watch... may I know if it is a T19 or T39 crystal on your 1680? From the photos, it appears to be T19...

Thank you for your time.

I did...and, sadly, for a fair bit more than an almost identical piece I got 2 1/2 years ago for a lot less.

Icon14 Thank you...

Hi Andy,
Thank you for your reply. I will be at LAWW coming week and I will ask for the "reprofiled OEM" T19 for the 5513; I love the look on your White Sub-Date.

While you are in LA, check out Animal restaurent. Since you are from Spain, it is a tapas-style/inspired dishes that are very interesting.

Enjoy your stay... you and your 1680 sock up the So Cal sun!

Ha! Mark, I think you misunderstood! The watch came from Spain (Philippe Capurro’s business, ExoticWatches, is in Spain) and I sent it directly to LAWW from here in NYC (incidentally, I see you’re in DC. I was born and raised there).

And I’ve actually been to Animal. It was delicious, but, 5 years later,
I’m still recovering! Without question, the richest meal I’ve ever had.

Aaron, it's in a drawer with the Top Hat from my girlfriend's 1680. And while she's not a watch enthusiast at all, she absolutely loves her Sub and wanted to learn all about it....you know, in case someone asks. (Though she refers to the T19 by saying "I wanted an anti-cyclops crystal on mine.")

Very nice example! The dome plexi just magnifies the creamy plots and hands. Excellent choice!
